CANCELLATION POLICY
Thank you for taking a moment to review our cancellation policy. We understand that life can be unpredictable and we appreciate your understanding in advance. Please note that by scheduling an appointment, you are agreeing to the terms outlined below. If you have any concerns or questions, feel free to reach out.
1. Why a Cancellation Policy is Important:
We strive to provide the best possible service to every client and last-minute cancellations can make it challenging to fill appointment slots. Additionally, we invest time and effort into preparing for your session and we have limited availability, particularly for after-school sessions. This policy helps ensure fairness to all clients and covers operational costs.
2. Cancellation Fee:
To help us manage our schedule effectively, a cancellation fee of 50% of the consultation fee will apply to appointments cancelled without sufficient notice, or if you don’t show for the appointment at the time scheduled.
3. Required Notice to Avoid Fees:
A minimum of one clear business day is required for all cancellations. If an appointment is cancelled with less than one clear business days’ notice the cancellation fee of 50% of the consultation fee will apply.
4. Exceptions to the Cancellation Fee:
We understand that life happens and unexpected serious events can arise. In these situations, please talk to us about having the cancellation fee waived. Some examples of what would be considered serious events include:
- A medical emergency, injury, or death
- A car accident
- A serious situation involving an act of crime (e.g., robbery, assault)
Please note: certain situations such as work-related events, changes in school schedules, or planned holidays are generally not considered emergencies under this policy. While we understand these can be stressful, they don’t typically qualify for fee waivers.
If you need to cancel but can reschedule your appointment for another time and you attend that new appointment, no cancellation fee will be charged. We’ll be happy to work with you on finding a new time that suits your schedule.
